The Fight Night Combat Elo Ratings are used to gauge the relative strength of players, particularly if they haven't taken part in tournaments recently and are no longer ranked. The ratings only consider the final result of a match, not points difference, and are similar to 538's elo ratings for tennis players.
The FNC 52 Week Current Rankings are given priority in tournament qualification seedings and all other areas, as the Current and Race Rankings reward participation, while Elo ratings famously incentivizes top players to avoid matches to sustain their high rating. So far, the FNC Elo Ratings are only used to help make fair qualification groups at large tournaments, after first considering current top 25 players and then former top 10 players.
A player's elo rating is considered provisional (P) until they have either completed six matches or played matches in at least three different tournaments. Scroll down to see provisional ratings.
